Fundamentals of Design
Learn the fundamentals of design, including its history and core principles. This module provides a strong foundation, helping learners understand the evolution of design and apply essential principles in creative projects.
Visual Communication
This module covers the essentials of visual communication, including semiotics, syntactics, and semantics, Gestalt psychology, and visual hierarchy. Students also learn colour theory and the anatomy of typefaces to create clear, engaging, and effective designs.
Interface and Interaction Design
This module offers a deep dive into interface and interaction design, covering grid systems, layout, typographic scales, whitespace, and artboard setup for responsive and fluid designs. Students also learn about UI components, interaction patterns, atomic design, and design systems to create consistent and user-friendly digital experiences.
UX tools Training
RLearn to use essential design and collaboration tools, including Figma, FigJam, Trello/Jira, Miro, Google Sheets, and Typeform, to streamline workflow and enhance project management.
Introduction to User Experience
This module provides a deep dive into the history, meaning, and branches of UX, exploring key terminology and the five layers of UX. Students also learn about essential UX processes and frameworks, including Design Sprints, Double Diamond, and Design Thinking, to create effective and user-centered experiences.
User Research
This module teaches the what and why of user research, exploring its various types and guidance on when to use each method. Students learn how to plan and conduct research, and how to synthesize data to create meaningful insights and related artifacts that inform design decisions.
Contextual Design Modeling & Information Architecture
This module covers contextual design and information architecture, exploring the what and why of contextual design and the fundamentals of information architecture (IA). Students also learn about navigational models to structure content effectively
Usability Testing
This module introduces usability testing, covering what it is and why it’s important. Students also learn about different methods of usability testing
Final Week - Design Showcase
In the final week, students participate in a design showcase and undergo a comprehensive assessment of all modules. The program also includes portfolio and resume preparation, along with interview tips and mock interviews to help students confidently enter the job market.
